      In 2021, I had the privilege of leading the creative direction for the fourth reimagining of NFL Total Access, the league’s definitive source for football news and insights. Over six months, my team and I embarked on a mission to create a motion graphics package that would not only reflect the core values of the show but also set a new standard for NFL broadcasting. This project was more than a redesign—it was an opportunity to redefine how fans experience the game they love. It was about deepening the connection between the program and its audience. We took on the challenge of standing out in a sea of sports media by staying true to what makes TA unique—its authority, access, and passion for the game. The result is a graphics package that not only meets but exceeds these standards, offering fans a viewing experience that is as thrilling and reliable as the NFL itself.






Crafting the Visual Narrative

Our approach began by defining the voice of Total Access: authentic, influential, and passionate. These attributes guided every creative decision. We wanted the graphics to feel like an extension of the show’s identity—reliable, yet dynamic; bold, yet approachable.

The aesthetics were designed to seamlessly integrate with the new stages at Hollywood Park, leveraging the state-of-the-art stage and display screen systems. As well as the shows move towards a “Primetime” feel, moving away from the brighter aesthetic grounded in white backgrounds and environments. This was not just about creating beautiful visuals; it was about enhancing the entire viewer experience. Every element was crafted to ensure that our graphics not only stood out in a crowded media landscape but also elevated the content, making each segment of TA an unmissable part of the football experience.
 







The Essence of Total Access

Total Access stands apart as the voice of the NFL. We’re not just another show; we are the heartbeat of the league, directly tied to its identity and intellectual property. Our mission was clear: to encapsulate this unique position and translate it into a visual language that would resonate with our audience—generations of insatiable football fans.

Authority and Trust-  This graphics package reinforces TA’s role as the definitive source for NFL news. Clean lines, bold typogography, and a consistent color palette were chosen to exude confidence and clarity.

Energy and Passion- Motion elements were designed to capture the high-energy atmosphere of the NFL, using dynamic animations that mirror the fast-paced nature of football.

Integration with Technology

- We ensured the new graphics would flawlessly integrate with the advanced display systems at Hollywood Park, allowing for a more immersive viewing experience.

Modern, Yet timeless.

- While the design is cutting-edge, it’s also rooted in the timeless tradition of football, ensuring that the package would remain relevant for seasons to come.







Responsive Brand Identity
We created a universe of ID elements to use strategically. Understanding that the NFL mark and it’s shape is so recognizable, we took advantage of our position and developed a diverse set of marks that had the ability to respond to any circumstance.
